The Fire Brigade come to visit

As part of 'People who help us in the community'  topic, a fire engine came to to school on Friday.  First the firemen showed the fire engine  and all the tools on the truck they need to help them do their job. Then they talked to us about how to be 'firewise' and what to do if there is a fire and the things the firemen do in our community to help us.

Mr Nibbles

Sharon brought Mr Nibbles to visit today.  He  is a angora rabbit.  He is very soft and likes to be patted.  We liked Mr Nibbles visiting and hope Sharon brings him again to visit.

PLP

On Wednesdays, we have PLP ( Physical Literacy Programme) sessions.  We practise our running, dodging, and ball skills.   We are improving so much at bouncing and catching the ball. We also have such a lot of fun too.

Pyjama Day

On Friday we all wore our pyjamas to school.  We were helping Zoe raise funds for her friend who has leukemia.   When children are sick in hospital they often wear their pyjamas all day.  We all spent a very comfortable day at school in our pyjamas and none of us fell asleep!
Well done Zoe.  Our class was happy to help you.

Athletics

Yesterday we had our first school athletics day.  It was fun! First we had sprints on the bottom field.  We  all ran our fastest.

After the sprints the juniors had throwing and jumping events. We threw quoits and fox tails and jumped in hoops and over the pony jumps.  We tried very hard and were very tired at the end of our day!
